Who doesn’t love a good jack-o-lantern? My husband and i have been carving jack-0-lanterns together since we were just buds back in grad school in Savannah, GA. We bundled up this past Sunday evening and carved a couple of lovely punkins from a farm stand up the road (a little different than carving in our t-shirts back in the south!)
I doubt we’ll get trick or treaters out here in the boonies, but if so – they’ll have some spooky decor to greet them at the gate! Our house is surrounded by bats every evening, so i chose a ‘bat’ theme while Andy stuck with the traditional scary face. I love them both!
The chickens enjoyed the guts and the seeds are set aside for roasting next weekend. I love roasted pumpkin seeds and they’re super easy – my recipe coming soon!
Does your family carve jack-o-lanterns? Do you stick with the traditional scary faces or do you like to get creative with elaborate scenes?
