Pause on Pocket – Dog Shaming?

So what’s all this ruckus about dog shaming? I see folks posting about ‘animal abuse’ and humiliation… folks: DOGS CAN’T READ. I personally think dog shaming is hilarious. As long as a dog is loved and being lovingly put in a box and photographed – have at it! Pocket is not being shamed in these photos – but she is in a box. And i find it hilarious, as i pack tiny felt corgis into tiny boxes every day.

C’mon – who wouldn’t want to get THIS package in the mail???

I’m not going to lie, I like a little dog shaming too! We put our two in our Christmas Tree box this year, they just sat there like Pocket. As long as you’re not actually hurting your dog with the shaming, what is the abuse?! It’s no different than what people do to their kids for pictures!

  2. Woof! Woof! I got many cat bloggie friends that loves to be in the box. Pocket looks cute in the box. Happy 12-12-12 Wordless Wednesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  3. She is just adorable! I’m not a big fan of dog shaming – the photos are usually funny (to us – the dog’s don’t know we’re laughing at them) but some of them can be rather mean-spirited.

    • Thanks for your comment, Deena – I agree that saying mean things to anyone is totally lame. My point was only that it is NOT dog “abuse.” Either way – it’s fun to put Pocket in giant boxes when we have them around. 😉

  4. Oo! Oo! You can send that cute corgi to my house! What I really need to do is start a chicken shaming site. My dogs are pretty good, but the girls! They’re rude, pushy pigs! Hm …

  5. Pocket!
You lucky dog! It is usually the cats that get all the fun with boxes. In regards to dog shaming…let the peeps put there little cards up, photograph it and then yes, post it for a chuckle…it’s the least we can do to make them smile!
Besides our wagging mates can’t read!
