Homestead Update: Taming the Mess!

You might not be able to tell, but things are getting pretty organized around here!

So exciting to see my jars in their new home!

Like i said, the order may only be perceivable to the untrained eye but it’s there! The pile of boxes by the french doors are empty and destined for a Summer burn pile. The boxes in the pantry are full and ready to be moved upstairs or unpacked and put away as the space becomes available. We have vacuumed floors, a couch to sit on, CLEAN KITCHEN COUNTERS and even more exciting: clean and dry laundry right from our own high efficiency machines. No more laundromat for us! Oh, and we even had our first houseguest – Pocket’s friend, Darcy.

Can’t wait to post the next update which will hopefully appear more organized, even to the untrained eye. 😉

How did your last move go? Quick and seamless or did you also struggle with the “neverending to-do lists?”

Here in the NW you don’t need to have a burn pile in the summer. My husband is out doing it now. It’s wet enough to not be an issue.
I love that Pocket is letting her friend use the bed. Such manners!
